Job Description


Act as a liaison between the employee and other support departments as it pertains to payroll, benefits, etc. Represent the company for unemployment claims, EEOC investigations and other employment agency inquiries. Drive Corporate Initiatives regarding Great Place to Work, Employee Satisfaction Surveys and other turnover reducing initiatives.


• Manage the day to day HR Department processes including guiding the HR Coordinators and ensure all metrics and trainings are being conducted properly and resolve any escalated items

• Conduct complex investigations including sexual harassment and fraud, and investigate employee complaints as needed to resolution

• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records and represent the organization at various hearings when required

• Manage new hire orientation process and all on boarding responsibilities for the facility

• Provide leadership and support to managers and employees in the areas of performance counseling, employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation, conflict resolution, legal and contractual requirements and managing cultural integration

• Function as a trusted advisor to managers and supervisors in coaching on successful problem and conflict resolution as well as performance

• Ensure that employment actions are well documented per company policy and are not arbitrary or discriminatory

• Manage the Citizen of the World (COTW) philanthropic efforts for the location to ensure that fundraising goals are reached and reporting deadlines are met

• Assist with the investigation and gathering of documentation for all EEOC claims (or other legal issues)

• Prepare documentation for all Unemployment Appeal Claims and attend corresponding hearings

• Conduct employee exit interviews and lead all off boarding responsibilities ensuring compliance with security protocol

• Recommend new approaches, policies and process improvements to ensure company and department efficiency

• Keep abreast of legislation affecting human resources and recommend relevant process and handbook policies

• Thrive as a team player in a fast paced, high energy, change oriented environment

• Interpret and ensure self and subordinates are in compliance with Company/client specific policies, procedures and initiatives and all laws

• Must have ability to work various shifts influenced by current business needs

• Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written with all levels of staff and management throughout the organization

• Perform other related duties and assignments as required and as assigned by supervisor or other management

• Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to including, but not limited to Security, HR, Operations, etc.,

and that any known infractions are communicated to the proper management immediately

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education with experience in Human Resources Management

• 2 to 5 years proven success in managing a professional Human Resources team of four or more professional level associates

• Relevant work experience at the HR manager level required

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as working with HRIS systems required

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality

• Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written with all levels of staff and management throughout the organization with very strong attention to detail

• Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize multiple demands and work independently as well as with others while creating a positive partnership with the Operations group

• Excellent time management skills are imperative

• Position requires flexible availability and must be able to adjust schedule influenced by current business needs

• Experience working with multiple locations or a large workforce preferred

• Must be prompt and dependable with excellent attendance history

• Must pass mandatory background checks which may include pre-screenings, illegal drug tests and credit checks
