Senior Human Resources Generalist

To provide Human Resources support for the facility and day to day direction to the HR Staff in an indirect reporting manner. In addition, to assist HR Manager in implementing HR Transformation projects and TP Group HR related initiatives.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.  Also, oversee and assist w/ any investigations as needed by the HRC’s and manage the process.
  • Manage the day to day duties of the HRC’s and HRA.
  • Review and process all new hire and termination paperwork, and manage termination process for the HRC’s.
  • Lead new hire orientation and all on-boarding responsibilities for the facility.
  • Provide leadership and support to managers and employees in the areas of performance counseling, employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation, conflict resolution, legal/contractual requirements, and managing cultural integration.  Provide guidance and support to HRC’s in such areas.
  • Complete HR Jump and ensure all HR metrics are met.  Assist the HR Manager in managing the process w/ the HRC’s.
  • Function as a trusted advisor to managers and supervisors in coaching them on successful problem/conflict resolution and performance.
  • Ensure that employment actions are well documented per company policy and are not arbitrary or discriminatory. 
  • Facilitate the resolution of all Payroll issues/concerns.
  • Manage the full life-cycle of leaves of absence including FMLA and PTO, ensuring compliance with Federal and State Regulations.  Assist HRC’s with any issues in these areas.
  • Investigate all injury/incident reports. Obtain all necessary documentation and manage corresponding Workers Compensation claims.
  • Assist with the investigation and gathering of documentation for all EEOC claims (or other legal issues).
  • Prepare documentation for all Unemployment Appeal Claims and attend corresponding hearings.   Assist HRC’s as needed in such areas.
  • Conduct employee exit interviews and lead all off-boarding responsibilities, ensuring compliance with security protocol.

  • Keep abreast of legislation affecting human resources and recommend relevant process/handbook policies.
  • Up-train HRC’s in areas and ensure that they are up to date w/ legislation.
  • Assist in coaching and developing the HRC’s.
  • Act as backup to the HR Manager.  Attend all meetings in any absences and run department as needed.
  • Assist the HR Manager w/ driving any initiiatives.  Great Place to Work, ESAT, etc.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Fluent Bilingual English/Spanish preferred not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and Outlook required with some experience working with HRIS system.
  • Strong people skills with a positive attitude while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with solid presentation skills. 
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands and work independently. 
  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Time management skills are imperative.
  • Ability to work well with others and create a positive partnership with the Operations group. 
  • Position requires flexible availability and must be able to adjust schedule as needed.
  • Must be prompt and dependable.
  • Must be able to successfully lead and supervise a team of HR professionals
