Legal Discovery Analyst Job Description

Description of Role:

The Legal Discovery Analyst supports Legal staff while litigation is pending or underway against the company. The Legal Discovery Analyst supports Legal by searching customer and dealer contact center data and analyzing the data to provide records relevant to an open legal case matter.

We are looking to hire a Legal Discovery Analyst with outstanding organizational and clerical skills. Legal Analysts are expected to work under pressure according to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment which often requires directional shift to accommodate legal input and direction.

To ensure success, Legal Discovery Analysts should be skillful at data research strategy and analytics. Must be exceptional communicators with an interest in providing precise and accurate data to lawyers and legal teams. A Legal Discovery Analyst must be an expert in data mining with strong administrative and IT skills while possessing the ability to be detail oriented.

Legal Analyst Responsibilities:

Monitor Legal Staff requests for research.

Decipher requests from Legal staff and communicate questions or follow-up.

Conduct research and gather related customer and dealer information.

Assemble, review and confirm accuracy of data related to the case matter request.

Maintain and update databases and tracking systems.

Provide feedback to internal business partners and Legal staff members to ensure data is accurate

Review organizational information and reference tools to stay up to date on policies and procedures.

All-purpose administrative duties ie. responding to correspondence and answering telephone calls.

Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree.

Two years of experience as a data analyst or similar.

Analytical thinker with strong theoretical and research proficiency.

Ability to comprehend and interpret legal terminology.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM tools including but not limited to the following:

Excel, Access, Oracle BI Publisher, Siebel

Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
